QotD: Swine Flu Pandemic

Yes. Worried enough to have cancelled our flight to BKK a few days before the trip. We already had everything booked when WHO announced two confirmed Influenza A(H1N1) cases in the Thai capital.

Two weeks ago, DOH confirmed that we had the flu here too. Last week, DLSU suspended its classes. That includes the class I attend on Saturdays. And now, my schedule is all screwed up.

So yes, I WILL give you piercing stares when you cough or sneeze in public without covering your snout, thank you very much.

Mine would be rubbish and global warming. The weather here in the Philippines has been all screwed up lately.

My puny green acts to help Mummy Earth are:

not buying bottled drinks anymore. If I have to get my caffeine fix, I bring my tumbler along. Starbucks will even slash a fiver off the price of your drink for this
making sure to bring canvas bags with me whenever I go grocery shopping. If I forget, then I recycle the plastic and paper bags from the store
switching off lights and unplugging gadgets from the socket
recycling printed-on-paper and making new notepads out of 'em
